SUMMARY:Lerderderg State Park: Whiskey Creek Circuit
DESCRIPTION:{show accesslevels=\"Registered\"}\nThis walk is only 11km but 
 gains its rating from the steep ascents/descents. However it rewards walke
 rs with beautiful views of the Gorge\, (river and lovely cliffs)\, treetop
 s and varied dry forest. There are also some mining ruins. It is on a mixt
 ure of 4wd tracks and walking tracks. &nbsp\;After walking to the lip of t
 he gorge\, we head steeply down to the river\, and after crossing\, head u
 p to a ridge and contour around\, before descending\, crossing the river a
 gain and heading steeply up to the lip of the Gorge\, then following undul
 ating tracks back to the start. Note that one section of the walking track
  is narrow with a steep drop-off to one side. Boots and poles useful\, als
 o crocs and a small towel for the river crossings\, how-ever the river bed
  was dry on the scout. Meet at 8:30am in the carpark (with toilets) behind
  the Grey Matter cafe in Bacchus Marsh (136 Main St) with access off Gell 
 St on the right. We will then travel in convoy to the walk start. Carpooli
 ng is to be arranged by participants once bookings close. The carpooling c
 harge is $20 per passenger.\n{/show}
