SUMMARY:Canning Street Reserve to Bimbank Park return
DESCRIPTION:{show accesslevels=\"Registered\"}
 Embark on a scenic return
 walk from Canning Street Reserve to Brimbank Park along the Maribyrnong Ri
 ver Trail\, a delightful journey through Melbourne's western suburbs\, ble
 nding natural beauty with urban tranquillity. Starting from Canning Street
  Reserve\, the trail meanders alongside the Maribyrnong River\, offering a
  peaceful escape from city life. The path is lined with native flora and p
 rovides occasional glimpses of local wildlife. The track is relatively str
 aight and flat\, however\, there will be one hill. It is classified as a e
 asy/medium walk due to the distance which when last scouted was 20.5km. Ot
 her than the distance it is an easy walk and makes a fabulous training wal
 k if you are needing to do distance training. The morning tea stop will be
  about 4.5kms and lunch is at the10km point. On the scouts we have found w
 e needed to have a five to 10 minute stop on the way back as well given th
 e distance. It is good to bring something small for afternoon tea to have
 at this quick afternoon stop.&nbsp\;
 As we approach Brimbank Park\, the
 landscape opens up to expansive parklands\, ideal for a restful break for
 lunch at the cafe or in the parklands before we retrace our steps back to
 Canning street reserve. The return journey offers a fresh perspective of t
 he river and its surroundings\, ensuring a fulfilling walking experience.

 Car Parking
 As you enter with the traffic lights there is a car park a
 nd public toilet. There should be ample parking there. If not\, there is a
  gravel car park along the football oval. We will meet at the first main c
 ar park as you enter. The walk will be approximately 18km in total. I have
  scouted this\, but will need to do another scout to confirm the distance.

 Once bookings are confirmed\, I will organise a suggested list for car
 pooling. Car pooling will be $5.00 per person to the allocated driver.&nbs

  a first aid kit. It is a good idea to include a snake bandage.&nbsp\;
 F
