 Melways maps 6 and 16 will
  guide us from Coolaroo railway station into Meadow Heights along the gree
 n shaded paths to join Moonee Ponds Creek Trail. We’ll look up to the ra
 ilway trestle bridge which was constructed by the Victorian Railways in 19
 27-29 then enjoy seeing waterbirds at Jacana wetlands. Some of you may hav
 e been following the Reimagining of Moonee Ponds Creek project that’s no
 w completed. We’ll follow this experiential trail and see the results of
  the re-naturalisation of the creek. Natural rocks now replace concrete wa
 lls. Thousands of grasses\, sedges\, trees and shrubs have been planted. W
 e’ll admire the progress yet hurry on to Ferrovia\, an Italian café for
  lunch before it closes at 2pm. I’ll be looking forward to a zeppole!&nb
 sp\;
 Please note that there are no toilets at the start of the walk\; fi
 rst toilets are at 9kms. The paths are sealed and generally flat (or a lit
 tle downhill). Please also note that this is a fairly long Express walk at
  14 kms.
