SUMMARY:Dandenong Ranges NP:Glasgow Track and surrounds

 This is a lovely
  circuit through the beautiful forests of The Dandenongs. Scouted on a war
 m sunny day we found that the shade of the trees protected us from the sun
 . It is a strenuous walk of 24.5km with some prolonged ascents\, the first
  one being Glasgow Track to the top of Mt Corhanwarrabul a climb of one ki
 lometre gaining 391 m in elevation. We will enjoy a wonderful panoramic vi
 ew to Port Phillip Bay\, the You Yangs and Mt Macedon. We cross to the eas
 tern side of the Dandenongs via Olinda picking up a variety of tracks to O
 linda Falls Road. Following VW track we begin our return to the top of Mt 
 Corhanwarrabul. Mechanics Track has now reopened which provides a delightf
 ul walk through a fern gully. Returning to the start via Singleton Track. 
 Overall there is an elevation gain of 1\,190 metres.
 Poles are recommend
 ed as well as strong footwear. Toilets are available at Olinda. Cost is $1
