SUMMARY:Lysterfield Park: Lake\, Granite\, and Quarry Tracks

 Join us for a pleasant yet
  challenging 20km circuit with wildlife and scenic lookout opportunities t
 hrough Lysterfield Park.
 We will begin at the BBQ area in the Spotted Gu
 m Picnic Area below the carpark. From there\, we’ll head clockwise aroun
 d the lake before following Granite Track\, eventually reaching Trig Point
  where we’ll stop for morning tea and take in the stunning views. After 
 our break\, we’ll continue Lysterfield and Quarry Tracks\, making our wa
 y to back onto Granite Track to reach the summit where we will stop for lu
 nch. Following lunch\, we’ll take various tracks back to complete a loop
  around Lysterfield Lake before returning to the carpark.
 Overall\, the 
 trail is mostly flat but includes a few very steep hills\, contributing to
  approximately 616 metres of elevation gain. A moderate level of fitness i
 s required\, and hiking poles are recommended if you use them.
 When arri
 ving\, enter the park via the main entrance on Horswood Road and proceed t
 o the Spotted Gum Picnic Area carpark. We will meet at the BBQ area where 
 there are toilets nearby.
 Please arrange your own carpooling once the bo
 oking date closes. The carpool contribution is $15 per person.
