SUMMARY:Goldfields Track Pt 2 - Wombat Station to Castlemaine

 Following on from our 2025
  walk from Ballarat to Wombat Station\, a day’s walk south of Daylesford
 \, this four day (three night)\, approximately 80km walk follows old 1850s
  gold rush water races from the wet temperate forests on top of the Great 
 Dividing Range at Daylesford to the dry northern plains and Forest Creek g
 old diggings around Castlemaine. Expect to walk between 18 and 21km each d
 ay on mostly gently undulating tracks with some steep ups and downs\, long
  views to Mt Franklin and refreshing mineral springs along the way&nbsp\;

 Accommodation is at the Hepburn Springs Motor Inn where each o
 f us will have her own spacious room with ensuite and food preparation are
 a equipped with crockery\, kettle\, toaster\, microwave and fridge. We int
 end to eat out for dinner each night at restaurants or pubs. There is also
  a general store nearby with breakfast and lunch provisions and take away 
 meals. Cost is $360 ($120 per night per person) plus meals and carpooling 
 and car shuttle contributions.&nbsp\;
