SUMMARY:Treasury and Fitzroy Gardens
DESCRIPTION:{show accesslevels=\"Registered\"} This is a 5 km wander that i
 s probably familiar to many members. The walk will start at Jolimont Stati
 on but before heading to the gardens we will go down to the MCG to look at
  the statues of famous sporting identities. We will then walk along the st
 reets bordering the parks up to Nicholson St and down Spring St.&nbsp\; Al
 ong the way we will see the small Parliament Garden. We'll enter the Treas
 ury Gardens first and then go on to the Fitzroy Gardens looking at the var
 ious points of interest along the way.
 The walk will commence at 9.35am.
  A Mernda train leaves Flinders St at 9.18am arriving at Jolimont at 9.30a
 m (Both the Hurstbridge and Mernda trains go around the loop before arrivi
 ng at Jolimont). It is possible to catch the No. 75 tram in Flinders St. M
 eet outside Jolimont Station on the MCG side.
 For members who wish to st
 ay for lunch they can bring their own or purchase lunch from the cafe at t
 he Gardens.
