 Mark this special date in your diaries for t
 he annual walk with the Melbourne Walking Club. The combined walk is a tra
 dition going back to 1922\, and this year we are the hosts. The venue is D
 oongalla in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges National Park. This place is of
  historical interest and the walks\, mostly on forest tracks\, should suit
  everyone. There will be an Easy walk of approximately 8 kms with some mod
 erate ups and downs\, and a longer walk of about 12 kms with steeper ups a
 nd downs. The autumn colours should be spectacular by then and the forest 
 delightful. Walking poles would be advisable if you use them and if the da
 y is wet\, boots would be essential. We will have afternoon tea\, courtesy
  of MWWC\, at the Chocolate Dragonfly Café\, 1317 Mountain Highway\, The 
 Basin.
 The meeting place is the Doongalla Homestead car park\, Doongalla
  Forest Rd\, The Basin\,&nbsp\;Melway 66 D5\, at 9.30am (you will pass the
  Stables car park on the way in).&nbsp\; Please note that the gates open a
 t 9am and close at 3.30pm on the day. You may choose which walk to do on t
 he day. Bookings close on Wednesday 29 April. Book on the website or by co

 pooling yourself once the booking date closes. Car-pooling costs $15 per p
 assenger.
